Germplasm search filters

V17 includes a new and richer germplasm search module. Enabling users to easily find germplasm in the database by offering a comprehensive set of stackable filters, including: attributes, names, locations, breeding methods, studies and lists. Select your germplasm subset to create a new list or add to an existing list.

Import germplasm updates

We have fulfilled a longstanding request by our user community by supporting gerplasm updates by import. Administrators now have the ability to update germplasm attributes, names, basic details and preferred names via the import of a simple .xls file.

Germplasm Unique Identifiers

Choose between version 4 UUID’s or a shorter custom version to uniquely identify your germplasm across databases. V17 will automatically and retroactively generate UUIDS for all of your existing germplasm

Manage Studies

• Germplasm and checks tab: No need to hit the save button anymore. Changes are automatically saved!
• Planting correction tools: New features to add new entries, change entries and plot entries, even if the experimental design has been generated already. These actions now provide much more flexibility to support the realities of planting a field (insufficient seed, correct planting errors, etc.)
• Imported field map: We’ve accommodated the field map viewer to be able to display imported designs or studies provided that the proper FIELDMAP_RANGE and FIELDMAP_ROW variables have been mapped

Manage Inventory

• Merge and split: Users can now split inventory lots for different uses or storage locations and can merge different inventory lots of the same germplasm for unified management.

Queries

• Graphical Filtering Tool: Users can benefit from the power of the new germplasm search features to conveniently define the germplasm filter of the query.
